Spotify has increased premium subscriptions in US and UK


Spotify, a digital portal for premium music has increased the price after the decade it was founded.

In the US ( United States ), the price of a single account holder will rise from $9.99 to $10.99.

Similarly in the UK, the price of an individual plane will cost £10.99 pounds. 

Subscription price hikes will affect subscribers in Canada and American-controlled States and territories.

US-Based Spotify Subscribers Premium Plans:

  • The premium duo plan is $14.99 for the US.
  • The family plan is $16.99 for the US.
  • Student Plan $5.99.

For UK-based Subscribers :

  • Premium Duo Plans  £14.99
  •  Family plans £17.99

Spotify Students Plan in the UK remained unchanged at £5.99 However it is increased in the US from $4.99 to $5.99.

Spotify trying to find a solution to its in terms of the value of the product and pricing as it struggles to compete with Apple Music and Amazon Music.

In addition, a number of top Products including Apple Music, Netflix and others have recently raised subscription prices.

Spotify has more than 500 million active users in over 180 markets and around 40 percent of those users are paid subscribers.
