TOKYO: International Atomic Energy Agency ( IAEA ) , and the UN Nuclear watchdog has given approval to Japan to release its radioactive treated waters from the tsunami-wrecked Fukushima plant into the ocean.Â
Beijing resisted and decried the move to release radioactive into water.
It was reviewed for two years, The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) monitored and said, Japan drastically focused on international safety standards.
The head of IAEA Rafael Grossi told the Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida before handing him a thick blue folder which consists of the final report.
Japan didn’t mention the exact date to release the water and as it would take years to complete, All the nuclear-regulating bodies and Tokyo Electric Power company ( Tepco).
As the release of water has to start towards the oceans, several local fishing unions in Japan are concerned with the government’s decision and they opposed it.
A few regional countries including China have also decried the plan and complained that there is a threat to the marine environment and public health.
