Train Strikes have disrupted rail services across the UK

ASLEF members, train drivers union which work at more than ten rail companies, have refused to work on Saturday.

At least 20,000 union members at more than ten rail operators will also strike on Saturday in a long-running pay dispute.

Amidst the strike situation, ticket offices are closing across England.

Passengers who use to travel on trains should check before travelling, Train Service disrupted across England, Scotland and Wales will also be affected.

Trains Operater shut down operations and have no service on Friday, Ist September including Avanti West Coast, Northern, Transpennine, Thameslink and Southern.

Staff Members across 14 different rail network companies are expected to take part in strikes on Saturday. These train companies are listed below:

  • Avanti West Coast
  • East Midlands Railway
  • Chiltern Railways
  • Cross Country Trains
  • C2c
  • Great Western Railway
  • Greater Anglia
  • LNER
  • Northern Trains
  • South Eastern
  • South Western Railway
  • Transpennine Express
  • West Midlands Trains
  • GTR (including Southern, Gatwick Express, Thameslink and Great Northern)

Ticket Office closure will affect passengers as workers are trying to maintain strikes.

Talks between the UK government and Aslef, RMT would end the strike if the pay dispute is resolved.
