Stockholm to ban petrol, diesel led cars in city

In the Swedish Capital Stockholm, the entry of petrol and diesel cars is to be banned to improve air quality in the city centre. 

In Stockholm, the air is affecting people causing major respiratory diseases such as lung disorders and older people are also affected by polluted air. City vice mayor for transport and urban environment, Lars Stromgren said that petrol and diesel cars release harmful gases and then it turn into polluting the air.

Stromgren Said that in a statement that we need to limit the harmful gases as it is released by petrol and diesel cars.

Stockholm City’s central location is one of the bustling business centres, Cafes and eateries where people go there in large numbers for shopping.

The city vice mayor said that the ban, which will be enforced by December 31, 2024, in an area with a lot of pedestrians and cyclists to improve the air quality.

In a city like Stockholm, a transition to electric made cars is necessary to end this bad air quality.
