Meta has officially launched its new twitter rival Threads App, as Twitter announced its limiting tweets policy last week.
In addition to that, Meta didn’t announce the Thread app in Europe due to privacy concerns.
On the first day, more than five million people sign-ups in the new app.
As Twitter is still a giant platform for the public, Threads find an opportunity to test app markets and position itself as a competitor.
Threads App goes live on Thursday as available on Apple and Andriod.
Some of the most popular celebrities and media outlets had already joined the Threads.
Meta chief executive and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has posted on the new threads app “ Welcome to threads ”.
Mark Zuckerberg said that it will take time to get to the point where the app has the potential to become a 1+ billion users app.
